Studio Friday Theme:
Black & White





These images are from a study of milkweed pods that I had done in January. My son and I collected them from my mothers backyard. The guilded frame hangs in my mothers house. It is enormous! I had actually placed the milkweed next to the frame because the patina in frame perfectly matched the colors in the pods. But, after trail and error, I really liked the complexity of the image in the 'simple' black and whites.

I love your book cover and first page - I really like the colors.

These are fantastic images! I do the same thing...I painted a picture of a hydrangea bloom in a pitcher and then placed a real pitcher with a bloom from my garden right next to where I hung the painting. Isnt that fun to do!
