Digital Journal Page 12

It has been awhile since I created a journal page. This one is in regard to having another child. After every child I have had thus far, I have said, quite emphatically, 'this is my last!'. Again, my maternal clock is shifting into over drive. As my daughters get older and closer to going to school, I am struggling with what do with myself. Should I go back to school? Volunteer? Start a business? As I really have no clue and almost daily, it seems, my ideas and dreams change, there is one thing I know, I am a mother. A good mother. It is something I can't quit and will never regret doing. The one job I have always been on time for and the one I will never regret devoting my life to. So, perhaps, I'll have another. Someday. No, I am not pregnant. :)

Damn it. Spring better get here soon, cause I really think I'm starting to loose my mind.. another kid??? What am I thinking???

We are getting more snow today.. more!

I took a few moments today to create a new journal page. Something, anything other than laundry and dinner. Perhaps I'll start to plan out our first family vacation. Yep, the first. We aren't going until November of 2010, but it might help me get through the long days of winter. Ironic isn't it? The shortest days of the year, to me, are the longest. Where are we going you ask? Well, to the mecca of the all American family of course! Disney World. :)

Yesterday, one year ago, my father in law passed away. It is hard to believe that already a year has fluttered by, but sometimes it seems as if it was just yesterday. For one year now I have shared my home with another woman. Strange, but lovely all the same. She fills the children with smiles, and I know they do the same for her. I'm finding it more true each year, that the older you get the faster the years go, and I'm only 33! When I'm seventy will they seem to flash in a blink?

I have added advertisements to The Vintage Moth in hopes to raise $$ for the American Cancer Society. We have raised over $40 at The Floozies and I am hoping that The Moth will generate more. The hit count is off the charts and there are tons of followers. All this time on the PC needs to benefit someone, right?

New Journal Page

A new journal page. To see the others, click the 'journal' label below. I have been playing on facebook.com quite a bit right now. It is fun, a little strange connecting with those I haven't seen or talked to in a long while, but nice; familiar. You can still enter below to win the paper doll. It will be done at some point, but I have lost my steam. Need to go and check in with Kathryn, and glean some inspiration.

Snow! Snow.. tonight it is suppose to snow! The photo background above is our garden. The cherry tomatoes have seen better days, yes? They were so good! The kids loved to go out and pick them, popping a few in their mouths at the same time. The leaves are from the fabulous Kathryn, the Collage Diva. You should take some time and browse through her blog.. inspiration and goodies are all over the place! The other images I used are available at The Vintage Moth.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic time getting ready for Halloween! It is right around the corner!

I am considering creating custom blog banners and layouts for people. My first few will be offered free of charge, as long as I can use it as an example of my work. Anyone interested in a blog makeover? Just email me.

Tricky devils..

As a long time blogger here and on MySpace, I know how frustrating it can be for those who want to make their blog their own but just don't know how. There are alot of really cool sites popping up all over the place, such as TheCutestBlogontheBlock.com. If you know a few key pieces of info tho, you can personalize your blog your way too. It does pay to have a basic understanding of HTML. I first learned how to decipher it while using MySpace. Originally that was the only way to personalize your 'space'. Now, it reads almost as a second language to me. Here are some great sites for HTML help. Although, you might need a basic knowledge even to understand them. but give it a try! You never know what's going to happen, just be sure to back up your blog code first!
Good Luck!

Back to reality...

Oh, the parties this weekend were head spinning! If you are still visiting for Vanessa's Halloween Party, scroll down a bit, my post for it is just below this one.

I suppose it is time for reality to settle back in. It was quite dreamy, and very inspiring! Thank you to those who left such encouraging comments. It is nice to hear that others enjoy my work too. There is quite a dark side to me, and I love to bring it out in my art. A few glimpses of my journal pages. I am working on some for Kathryn's Soul Journal Halloween Blog Party. I'm not sure if I can catch up.. but it is nice to be journaling again just for the sake of it.

I thought today I'd introduce you to Bonnie and Clyde. My wee sidekicks that follow me around the house all day. Miniature Pinschers, a brother and sister. We didn't realize when we named them that their names would be so appropriate, but they can certainly raise some hell when the mood strikes.
