I never got the chance to post these on my site but really wanted to share them. :) I think they are pretty neat. I pulled them out of a 1950's Time magazine.

What to do?

I have been pouring through images, shuffling my 'things' around trying to come up with a post for you. Something, anything that is outside the box, so to speak. I took some photos; don't really care for them. As far as making a piece, I opened my drawer and cupboard and dug through it, but nothing happened. What do you do when nothing happens? When the only creativity that I have right now is in designing a virtual world for my pet, Moxie on Facebook? How sad is that? Even until last year I would have titled myself an 'artist'. Perhaps not a defined one, but 'an artist' none the less. Now, I'm pretty sure that I fail that title. It no longer applies. Crafter, homemaker, those labels work. A fiddler. One who fiddles. Fiddles with the digital world while I live in the real one. So, with my thirty-fourth birthday approaching in two days, I declare myself no longer an artist! Know what? It feels good. Letting it go. I think I let go a long time ago. Now to change all my profile descriptions and to stop designing my personal website. I was going to pool all of Internet presences into one website. Once I started to build it I realized there isn't much to tell. At least nothing of significance. And that is Okay. Thirty-four. 3-4. Hmmm... another year. Wonder what this one will bring? Knitting. I know it will bring knitting as I am taking a beginners class in March for three hours on every Saturday. Confused? Not me. Not anymore.

a Thankgiving Gift for you..

This lovely turkey image is for my personal blog readers. Thank you for visiting! My time is spread thin because of my other blogs, and I feel I have been neglecting you. My posts have gotten a bit different lately as I am having a great time playing with my camera. We will return to our regularly scheduled crappy posts soon! :) I think I'll take a break from my posts for a few days and spend my time visiting everyone that I am so Thankful for in Bloglandia.

The picture above I took a few years ago. The corn we were feeding them obviously was not as tasty as the what the little birds were getting.

Down Abbie's Road things are not so pretty, and most definitely not what they seem. Yes, all of the critters hang on our walls. Truly, they do.

Even Princess Katie has dressed for the occasion, wearing her best.

I don't mean to boar you, alas, I fear, some of my guests are quite hard to bear.


Oh, deer, even the rats have begun to gather.


Spiders, however, will not be found in these parts as I find them just too gruesome!

But their tiny trails are left all over..

Perhaps you may find a bit of science, a bit of whimsy.

Keeper of the Secrets 8/7/08 Digital

Here is my submission for Mind Wide Open. I am so excited to see everyone's else's art pieces!! I originally wanted to do a light airy piece, but I just couldn't get that feeling and keep the key word 'secret' in play. All the Halloween stuff for sale is putting me in a Gothic mood, and some might think I'm nuts, but I'm ready for Autumn! It came out dark, mysterious, and there are most definitely secrets in this piece. Thank you Gail for hosting!! If you look close (please click to enlarge it!) you can see a lot of little details that might get missed.

Below that are some of my vintage brooches and necklaces. The center one is sterling, but I just can't bare to polish it yet. Someday... the last image is of my new storage. I have take a room full of crap and reduced it to these few, pretty boxes. I have 5 LARGE mailing boxes, full, that I will be either listing in my Etsy shop or giving away here. (Haven't decided yet..)
