looking for feedback...

A piece I am in the middle of.. any comments (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.. I don't know whether to stop, or keep adding, perhaps more assemblage type additions. It is a wood slab, with collage and acrylics. (it is the 'block' in the middle, not the entire image. I stood it on my bookcase in front of my livingroom wall)

I guess I am trying to simplify my work some. I have been adding too much. Over working everything so my original intent keeps getting buried. I do like this piece, it is very contemporary and modern (and it looks great on the red walls) but there is nothing to speak out. but that could have been my subliminal intentions. NOT to say anything.

Like Andrea said, a tough question. When I read your answer, it just popped into my head. If you want to let it say something, work with a word you put somehow in the spot. Just an idea. If I'm not satisfied with my work or have the feeling someting is missing I hang it somewhere on the wall for a while and let my thoughts going. Usually 'the' idea shows up and I'm pleased with the result.
But picturing on a red wall, like you said, mabye it doesn't need to speak out something, just itself and the color....by the way, like the colors a lot...

I really love the texture and subtle blue in the middle. And against the red wall it looks perfect. Personally I think it looks wonderful, finished and would not add any more to it.
