My brother and his wife are due to deliver any day now. This is their second child and so they have decided to wait and have the gender be a surprise. So, as a baby gift, I made this delighful baby 'minkie blanket'. It is super soft on the white side and gentle on the stripe side. I loved the stripe! Thought that it would be stimulating for tiny little eyes to look at. Ok, I must confess, this blanket is anything BUT perfect. The white fabric was extremely stretchy so working with a 36" x 40" size was definitely a challenge. I can see now why when they are made, they are smaller. but I wanted this blanket to be functional! So.. its not perfect but it was made with love and that the most important thing! I can't wait to meet my new niece/nephew!!
