Well Deserved Playtime...

I want to thank each and every person who commented on my last post. It definitely was scary and we are trying so hard to move beyond all the 'what if s'. Not so easy when you have a wild imagination like I do..

I spoke with my son this AM and he was feeling much better. (He is at his father's this weekend) He had a rotten headache yesterday and was having a hard time accepting that everything was going to be alright, once all the CO was out of his system.

Before all hell broke loose, Z and I went snowboarding on Wednesday. He was on vaca this week and really wanted to go. I skied, although I do know how to snowboard. Skiing is just more natural for me. We met some friends at the lodge so Z was able to board with some of his buddies too.

It was wildly windy and bitter cold, but there were no barking dogs, crying babies or diapers to be changed so it was perfect! We had just gotten a foot of fresh powder so the conditions were gorgeous! It was nice to spend time just with Z. His sisters take up much of my time so the private 'mommy and me' times don't come very often.

Enjoy your weekend! We are, of course, in the middle of another snowstorm. This time we only got 10".

Gah, do you think that the snow will ever end? I am so glad that you ski; at least, that way, you have a reason for needing some snow. And I love to know that you take the time to eke out days just for you and your son. I guess that all children thrive with some "just mom and me" times or "just dad and me" times.

I'll be thinking of Z and praying that he is feeling one hundred per cent very soon.

Poor guy.....how long does it take for that nasty stuff to get out of his system? It gives me a headache just to think of his woes. I do believe you must have a 3 foot accumulation of snow by now!! Golly! :-) Rosie

Oh I know about that wild imagination.....have one too.
What wonderful snow to sky/snowboard. Haven't been skiing in years, but it's definetly not my sport. Maybe if I would live in a winter sky area, but that's kind of too far away. Sounds like you both enjoyed hanging out together, glad to hear your son is feeling better. Smiles your way, Anke ;)

Oh I am so envious of the snow, coming from England I love it when we get snow here, but it's not that common in OK either!

I understand this is the most snow you've had in years, I eman the winter long accumulation--what else to do but ski!

I'm so glad he's doing better! What a wonderful thing to get to spend one-on-one time together. It's so hard to divide your time and attention equally sometimes. This must have been such a great day!

So happy all turned out well for your son! Yor post shows that everyone should have a carbon monoxide detector.

I heard more snow is coming tomorrow from the west! I guess the NE will have a long await for spring.

Happy week! Pat

So glad to hear he's getting better! What a frightening thing! Sounds like you had a great time. All that snow looks mighty cold, though! :)

BTW, love your music. I rarely have the volume turned off mute, but I'm glad I didn't miss this...
