My heart hurts...

I just visited the blog of my dear friend, Anke. She lives in Germany, not too far from where I grew up. She is the most fabulous photographer and has captured the countryside perfectly. If you'd like to go traveling, please stop by her blog for a visit.

Some more peeks from around the house and town. More Martha rats! I found them scampering over our Fritz Robbins prints.. those rascally devils.

And the one above is from an old cemetery not too far from where we live. I just love the black iron fence and the thin headstones. The foliage is peaking here right now, but alas, I haven't taken any photos. Perhaps tomorrow I'll go out for a drive. My husband has his brutal cold back so I might need to get out the house with the kids.

I saw the photos that Anke took - they are amazing as so are yours...I wish I had talent like you all!!!
I hope you get a chance to go out and take more pics - sounds like a great way to spend the day!
BTW - love the afghans - so very warm looking - really cannot find those in florida - at least not that I have seen - wish I knew how to crochet or knit - lol
take care of you - Ellie

Abbie, I've just added Down Abbie's Road to my blogroll. It is so good to have you back!

I am sorry that your dh has an awful cold. John has one, too. My grandmother and I have been taking Airborne and Zicam right along with him in hopes of avoiding it.
Hope that you did get out and about with the kids.

Yes! The colors are so vivid this year. We are also in peak week so we must be on the same parallel. ;>
