A face only a mother could love..

What is that fuzzy little thing I see?

Uhh.. wow. so ugly they are absolutely adorable!

The wee babies are just so tiny! How can an egg that is so pretty have these strange little critters in it? :) More pics to come soon.. these images were taken on Monday before we left on our trip. Now they have some fluff to soften their edges a bit.

The eggs were stunningly beautiful, only the little new birds could be even more so.

Loved the bird/tomato, too.

How sweet! I love the wild birds, and it's always exciting to me to see new life emerging and growing! What kind of birds are they? I couldn't tell by the nest!

Ah, I checked your previous post--Robins! Their eggs are so beautiful, aren't they? And the nest is, too--so round and pretty!

LOL Abbie! They ARE so ugly that they are ADORABLE!!! I *luv* baby birds! We had a nest of finches on our back porch this spring. They nested in my Autumn wreath, and naturally, I had to leave it out until the babies flew the coup!

Wonderful!! We once had a cardinal's nest in a huge rosebush off the side of our front porch. The nest was perfectly visible...just below eye level, and we would peek in on the babies each day and watch them grow! Eventually, they were old enough to hop from branch to branch and we were able to watch them take flight for the very first time! Ahh, the wonders of God and nature!!

Happy day :)
