Take comfort my boy..

Baseball
2006
He plays so well and has learned so much. He frustrates easily and this year (his first) was definitely a challenge. He expects perfection in himself. It is so hard to teach children to relax and have fun! Enjoy the process baby, sometimes that is all you have in the end. His team has yet to win a game but I think that may actually be a good thing. It is making his teammates and him focus on what's important; taking comfort and joy from the game itself and not the score on the board. (and mama is taking great pics to remember all the fun with!)
This was in response to Mama Says Om topic of the week: Comfort.

Wow, that is a terrific picture and reassuring post... you mean my little guy isn't the only one who can't see how far he's come and instead sometimes stomps off the minute the going gets tough?

I really need to get Photoshop, don't I? How did you learn to do that?!!

I LOVE photoshop. This is a great montage you've created. I don't know if you are interested, but there is a site called the Weekly Photoshop challenge http://weeklyphotoshopchallenge.blogspot.com/
It's fun, and there are usually good tutorials that go with the challenges.

(I thought I'd tell you because I am a totaly photoshop enthusiast)

That's an awesome picture! I can relate since my 5.5 y/o son is also "Mr. I can't do it!". But with a little comfort, it will go a long way.

I also loved this image--the frustration is, as you say, probably a very good thing. I have a perfectionist here as well, so I can relate to the very real need for them to take "comfort", even in mistakes. Great post.
