My Two Cents Worth...

Well.. I have been the receiver of great gifts. This weekend I was given the most amazing set of stamps to play with! Most are well over 100 years old and I am soooo excited!! I have created two really excellent collage sheets with them, now it is time to perserve them. To this point they have been stored in a paper box, which, needless to say, is not archival.
These are the type of stamps you don't sell. You pass them down the generations for the future to enjoy. But for now, we get to enjoy them too! As soon as I list the sheets in my shop I'll let you know so you can peek at them. They have the most amazing colors. All monochromatic, and full of details. I especially love the old postage seal marks.
Oh, I forgot to mention, the stamps also come from all over world! I just love ancient and old things.. the stories these stamps could tell and travels they have journeyed..

I know what you mean with family treasures I have some sitting on my 'old stuff shelve', I would never get the idea to give them away something so value to the family history.
