Here are some pics I took on my way home this afternoon. It was overcast, and had rained all day yesterday. My husband spent a few hours today helping a friend drag a moose out of the woods. It is the first day of moose season here. The only way you can hunt one, is to enter a 'lottery' and have your name get picked. Hunting season starts soon for deer. As some of you know, I live with a hunter. (He is a Biologist in his spare time) My 'Knight in Blaze Orange'. :) We have three, yes THREE, mounted heads in my living room. Two dear and a black bear. We also have a record brook trout. I would love to say my house is filled with Victorian treasures, lace and fine china, but I live with a man's man, and instead, we have plaid fabric and bird decoys on the shelves. In our formal living room we have shed antlers on the bookshelves and a gun over the fireplace. I do love it though. I tend to get along with everyone and I also love all types of decor and styles. I feel just at home in contemporary modern as I do in country, or formal victorian. Perhaps that is why I love to have my shop. It is my tiny feminine world with delicate flowers and pretty tidbits.
Oh, isn't that barn window great? and the old metal fence? that's not my house, (although it is very similiar), enjoy your drive down a NH road.

What a lovely drive--I quite enjoyed it. Thank you for taking us along.
Oh Abbie, what beautiful pictures! I can tell you are an artist -- your photos are perfectly composed. It must be lovely to live in such gorgeous country. My husband actully whimpered when I showed him you post -- he longs for a house in the country.
Have a great weekend!

Mary
Wonderful colors of the crown of Autumn on the land.
What a magical drive!
Oh those pictures are so wonderful, thanks for the journey! Concerning hunting, my husband would have a gun somewhere too in our house if hunting would not be limited in Germany. I think it's not possible to hunt here, unless you are a forest master. I'm sure he misses it though.
Wow, beautiful pictures! I've only been in New Hampshire once and I remember so well how beautiful it was. You are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country!
