The Discipline and Exercise Routine of a Coke Addict..

I started an exercise routine the other week. I got up in the morning and before the kids woke up, did sit ups, push ups (girly ones) and leg lifts. I was sore for three days and haven't done it again. That pretty much sums up my fitness program. Does anyone else a problem staying inspired? It is so hard to keep up the momentum, but my belly is paying a fair price for my lack of enthusiasm. As some of you know, I am a very petite woman, and am not over weight. Just ridiculously out of shape. As I get older, and with each additional child, it seems like I have body parts sagging I wasn't even aware that I had! Frustration hits and the only kisses that help squash the pain are Hershey's.

It's time for a revolution! A fitness, nutrition revolution! More Water, must drink more water. OK, I need to drink any quantity of water. Right now I drink none. Zip. Zero. I am a Coke addict. Coca-Cola, that is. The original, no diet or caffeine free for me! It is my carbonated, cold coffee sans the creamer. Deep therapy and water. Inner peace. I'll start tomorrow.

Good for you for trying Abbie. It's more then I can say, with my tredmill in the den covered in toys. Before I was married, I was the workout queen. The only workout I get now is when I lift my Dr. Pepper to my mouth :>)

Oh Sweetie....Good Luck! You really do need to get rid of that coke. Have you ever seen what it can do to a penny after 24 hours? I know it's hard....so just keep trying and one day you'll be saying "water with a slice of lemon, please" instead of "Coke, straight up" ;-)

Abbie, have you tried doing the situps and pushups to your favorite music? It may help...

I just found your blog when I was over at Mary's little red house. I had to laugh when I read about your exercise plan. I've done the same thing many times, and I've come to the conclusion that I just don't like exercise, except for walking the dogs.
And I see you're a coke-aholic! I'm a coffee-aholic!
Have a good day, I enjoyed visiting you!

Concerning exercise I have kind of an excuse still. Due to having a c-section you should do not sport for half a year.....so I will have some more time. Plus my muscles are not quite right yet.....so you are not alone out there.
PS: Don't give up on the exercise, even you have sore muscles....when they are used to and your skin is shaping up again, you will be soooo proud you were able to hang in there!

Dearest Abbie...I didn't read this before my newest post. Deepest apologies. And chasing 3 children is considered exercise. I lost 3lbs last winter pulling BubbaLou up the @#$# hill in the sled and then chasing her down it. Here's to hoping she pulls her own sled this winter!
